Sei Hwa has practised as an Architect in diverse environments over the past 30 years…and counting. His experience covers Master Planning, Urban Design, Architecture as well as Interior Architecture, and his portfolio of works includes commercial, industrial, institutional and residential projects, both in Singapore as well as regionally. Sei Hwa believes that every project is an immense opportunity to create meaningful experiences in our built environment. He has a keen interest in seeking a balanced and sustainable partnership between the built and the natural environment in the design of any project.
Sei Hwa graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch., Hons, 1st Class.) in 1993 from the National University of Singapore. He was awarded the Singapore Institute of Architects Gold Medal in 1993 for academic achievements at NUS. He sat for the Board of Architects Professional Practice Examination in 2017 and was conferred the Best Candidate Award. Sei Hwa has been a registered Architect with the Singapore Board of Architects since 1998.
Upon graduation, Sei Hwa worked with RDC Architects Pte Ltd from 1993 to 2006. He was Associated Director when he left RDC to set up TENarchitects in 2006, to pursue his ideal architectural practice. The practice was further incorporated as TENarchitects Pte Ltd in 2022, with Sei Hwa as Founder and Managing Director. TENarchitects was founded and envisioned as a small group practice, with the simple notion of producing delightful architecture. This is reinforced by our belief that Architecture is inspired by Nature, organised by Program, corrupted by Context and subverted by Culture. Each design we craft is a unique creation that resonates with the nuances of its influences. We understand the complexity of modern programs, the challenges of the environment and the limitations of resources…and we strive to ensure our works are as sustainable as are practical.
Sei Hwa carries his passion for Architecture into the realm of education too. He has been teaching in the Department of Architecture at NUS since 2004 and was appointed as an Adjunct Associate Professor in 2019. He currently anchors both undergraduate and graduate design programs in the Department of Architecture, College of Design & Engineering, NUS. He believes the boundaries between practice and academia in Architecture are ambiguous, with untapped opportunities to benefit both areas if collaborative frameworks are regularly enabled.
Sei Hwa was President of the Architectural Alumni Association, NUS from 2010 to 2022. Through this alumni channel, he was able to foster closer ties between architectural graduates and their alma mater, NUS.

Rajaguru BaraniDevi is the Senior Architectural Technician at TENarchitects Pte Ltd. She has worked on a diverse range of projects, including residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial projects in both India and Singapore.
She graduated from the Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu, India, with a Diploma in Architectural Assistantship in 1986. With over three decades in the industry, her technical foundation has enabled her to work efficiently and effectively. She is ambitious and hard-working and an excellent team player, balancing emotional and organisational aspects to achieve outstanding results.
She handles multiple tasks by applying both technical and managerial competencies. She is a self-driven and performance-oriented person with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively work with clients and outside consultants. She is clear about her personal contribution to the team, seeks help and provides support for others proactively.

Brandi is an important member of the team. As the office therapist, she contributes to the overall sense of calm and tranquility in the office. Occasionally, she doubles up as security officer to maintain order during moments of chaos. Brandi also attends construction site inspections during key stages of the projects, especially towards completion when she can help evaluate the works from her own unique perspective.

Wen En graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 2019 with a Diploma in Animation & 3D Arts. He is gifted in all areas of digital environmental design and general graphics design. He is experienced with managing both film and game production pipelines. Wen En is comfortable both with sketching and crafting with his hands, as well as creating amazing digital environments.

He is skilled in analogue drawings, model-making and has a keen eye for detail. He works well with his colleagues on assisting technical tasks ranging from residential to community projects.
