Pulpit Rock, a square formation of rock resembling a pulpit, hovering 600 metres above the Lysefjord, is itself a geological wonder while also being a splendid viewing point. The design proposal minimises impact on the existing landscape both structurally and aesthetically by utilising a weaving lightweight framework infilled with a supporting flexible mesh acting as shelters, platforms and seating areas which deforms, bends and flexes, reacting to people and the environment, reminding visitors of the connection between human and Earth.
