Punggol Waterway, Singapore
The unique setting of high-rise high density public housing sited alongside a man-made ‘natural’ waterway inspired the metaphoric references to ‘leaf, vein and ripple’ as generator of the design. Apartments are designed as large sweeping blocks that flow with the waterway, juxtaposed with pockets of communal spaces, landscaping and occasional waterside event spaces.
